At Gulmohar Club, we pride ourselves on providing a diverse range of amenities to enrich the lives of our members. From a refreshing swimming pool to a state-of-the-art gym, from a cozy restaurant to a tranquil chess room, and from well-maintained tennis courts to various other recreational facilities, we offer a comprehensive package tailored to meet your leisure and fitness needs. Our aim is to foster a sense of community while promoting health and well-being through our array of amenities.
Inception
The Gulmohar Sports-cum-Community Centre traces its roots back to 1982 when a Sponsoring Committee was established through the collaboration of four parent house building societies. This cooperative effort led to the allotment of land by the DDA, marking the beginning of construction.
Inauguration
In 1986, the Centre was inaugurated by Vice-President R. Venkataraman, signifying the culmination of years of hard work. Subsequently, in 1998, a swimming pool was added, enhancing the Centre’s offerings. Over a decade, the Centre evolved, laying down its basic infrastructure.
Facilities
Today, the Centre stands as a beacon of recreation, boasting modern amenities like a gym, swimming pool, card room, and more. It caters to a wide range of interests, including sports activities like tennis, badminton, and basketball, as well as indoor games, all set amidst lush green surroundings.
Governance
Governance at Gulmohar involves representation from the four promoter societies in its Managing Committee, ensuring a collaborative approach to decision-making. Membership benefits extend to both members and their guests, fostering a sense of community. The Centre’s offerings, including a central courtyard, library, children’s corner, and jogging track, further encourage community engagement.
