Cultural Activities

Various events/festivals are organized at the Centre all round the year for the members and guests to participate and soak in the rich and diverse cultural activities. For the first time, the Centre recently organized a “Childrens Day” weekend with competitions in the categories of Music, Dance, Mono Act and Painting. Dussehra Mela was held for two days in 2015 and it proved to be a grand success.
Founders Day celebration was held at the Centre on October 10, 2015. A live musical evening followed by sumptuous dinner for the members and their spouses was a huge success and much appreciated.

At a Glance

The main building of Gulmohar Centre is a set of aesthetically designed hexagons on the ground and first floors. The building is adjacent to a three-acre sprawling sports ground which has a basketball court, tennis courts, cricket and football ground and children's corner.
A nicely designed central courtyard and a lush green front lawn provide a relaxing atmosphere and complement the overall aesthetic appeal of the main building.

Ambience

A new permanent boundary wall with an impressive, backlit steel logo of the Centre on it, and another one on top of the main building
have added to the overall ambience of the Centre. Besides, new and much-needed facilities like a spacious manager’s office, a guard room, and fresh paving of busy walkways have helped give a makeover to the Centre. The central courtyard is now the meeting point for all members and their families. Smart, picket-style fencing at strategic areas has added to the overall look. The wash rooms next to the jogging track have been completely renovated. Completing the picture is the abundance of greenery, seasonal flowers, and all-season shrubs and plants.
The expansive front lawn, a precious rarity in our crowded city, is now a green oasis. The landscaping around the lawn gives it a distinctive look and members visiting the Centre are enjoying this patch of serenity and peace amidst the concrete jungle.
The garden has been maintained with utmost care and hard work. We earnestly hope that it will set a benchmark in eco-friendliness.
Innovative ideas such as a "vertical garden" have been adopted to achieve a different soothing look, and maximize limited space.
